Understand the connection
Ethereum’s introductory documentation explains that public smart contracts can call other contracts and can deploy contracts themselves. One displayed address therefore should not be treated as a complete description of all the code a transaction may involve.
Ask what was actually reviewed
Identify the network, contract and scope of any assessment you are shown. Ask whether relevant external calls and their conditions were included. A list of addresses is not itself a review of their behaviour or permissions, and sending assets is not a necessary way to investigate the connection.
Keep the scanner’s limits
coinscammercheck currently provides a beta address-risk lookup while payments are being connected. This guide does not claim it recursively reviews every contract dependency. No detected risk is not a safety guarantee; never provide seed phrases or private keys. Source: ethereum.org smart-contract introduction, checked 25 October 2026.
