An Ethereum access list is not a list of recipients permitted to spend your assets

EIP-2930 describes planned state access and gas treatment, not an asset-spending allowlist.

What the list contains

EIP-2930 introduces an access list containing addresses and storage keys that a transaction expects to access. It is related to how those accesses are charged. The specification explicitly allows accesses outside the list, at a different cost.

Do not read it as a security boundary

Seeing familiar addresses in an access list does not prove that no other state can be accessed or that asset movement is restricted to those addresses. Token allowances and the action you are signing need their own explanation. Do not grant permission just because the phrase “access list” sounds like an approved-recipient list.

Use the source for the specific question

This guide explains the EIP’s scope, not the safety of an individual transaction and not a new permission-audit feature in coinscammercheck. The service remains beta while payment setup is pending; no detected risk is not a safety guarantee. EIP-2930 checked 25 October 2026.
